One of my sisters came to visit for a week in August. My family went through Dunkin' Donuts drive through almost every day to grab breakfast before we went on our daily road trip. Even though I usually have just a cup of decaf in the morning, the smell of all the food in the car was so good, I had to order something too. I lived on sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast wraps that week. It was so simple but so good!

SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN RAMEN NOODLES

Quick and easy Sweet and Sour Chicken Ramen Noodles is a burst of sweet and tangy in every bite. This budget-friendly dish is a great way to use up rotisserie or leftover chicken too!

I don't take many action shots in my food photography, because it is a situation that usually requires an extra set of long steady arms. And when holding noodles with chopsticks is involved, it needs to be well orchestrated. Not only am I required to hold the chopsticks as steady as possible with one hand, I also have to lean WAAAAAY over to the back of camera to check if said objects are even in frame. Almost always, I have to reposition, then take a shot. What inevitably happens during this process is half of the cascade of ramen that was previously on the chopsticks would have slipped off, which requires the whole process to start over again. (I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to use slippery chopsticks!) After about 20 shots, I can only hope there would be 1 or 2 decent photos.

Hi there! So, have you started your Christmas/holiday shopping? Were you one of the brave souls who dared to stand toe-to-toe with intrepid Black Friday shoppers who were on a mission to go home with prime items at rock bottom prices?

If so, I hope you had a successful shopping trip! As for me, I opted out on the whole post-Thanksgiving Day ritual again this year. In fact, I was at work, but don't feel bad for me. It was a quiet and fruitful day at the office, quite nice really.

PAPAYA PROSCIUTTO AND BLUEBERRY SALAD WITH MAPLE SYRUP VINAIGRETTE

Succulent and sweet papaya and blueberries strike a nice balance with the salty prosciutto and feta cheese in this refreshing salad. Mixed greens and maple syrup vinaigrette completes this light but flavorful summer dish.

Hi friends! I hope your summer is going well. Can you believe that it's already mid July? I hope you are getting all your summer must-do's in because Labor Day will be here before we know it. Yikes!

We have had some hot and very humid days. By humid, I mean feeling like you got dropped into a hot bowl of soup as soon as you step outdoors. Thank goodness for air conditioning is all I'm gonna say!

In this heat and humidity, I gravitate towards lighter and cooler meals. On many nights, salad IS my dinner. Even though I tend to have the same salad again and again, I like to switch it up every now and then. This papaya prosciutto and blueberry salad is my latest creation, and it is a definite keeper!

Hi y'all! Thank you for joining me. I am so glad to be back and excited to share my first recipe!! So let's get started!

My family's favorite Vietnamese restaurant has the most fabulous chicken wings. It is the sauce that makes these wings irresistible and is the inspiration for today's recipe. The key ingredients—lemongrass, oyster sauce, and soy sauce are the foundation that brings this noodle dish to life. My recreation does not disappoint!
